Lagonda LG45

The Lagonda LG45 is a pre-war British luxury sports car produced from late 1935 to 1937. It is celebrated as the first Lagonda model developed under the technical direction of the legendary W.O. Bentley. Combining Le Mans-winning heritage with flamboyant coachwork, it remains a highly sought-after collector's item.

A lot of work!

This Lagonda came to us in a pretty poor way. over 95% of the wood frame had to be replaced. New running boards and wings had to be made in-house.

Bodywork

Unlike the frame the body itself wasnt too bad only requiring some small localised repairs before being prepped for paint. The framework was painted black.

The beginning of the build

The engine is in! along with the rest of the drivetrain. We've also fitted the rest of the drivetrain, the new hand-made and hand polished bulkhead and started building the frame for the new interior. The wiring is fitted and the dash is in place.

Coming together

Things are getting there now. Weve got the radiator fitted and thats allowed us to start fitting all the stunning chrome work to the front. Weve got batteries fitted and started getting the electricals in. The Trafficators work and look great. The rear seats are fitted too.
