Lagonda Rapide 1936
The 1936 Lagonda LG45 Rapide is an iconic, ultra-rare pre-war British grand tourer. Marketed as the fastest road car in the world, it combined a 4.5-litre Meadows engine re-engineered by W.O. Bentley with flamboyant Art Deco styling by Frank Feeley. Only 25 examples were ever produced.
Work needed
This extremely rare lg45 rapide came to us to have a new rear section hand fabricated and fitted after a repair done in the 80's left it miss-shapen. It also needed a little repair of the Ash wood frame.
Fabrication
As you can see we took the time cross referencing the original manuals and photographs and the new tail section turned out great. Looks like it would of leaving the factory.
